Pizza, Books, and a Movie
Yesterday was one of those great summer days, from beginning to end. We were up extra late the night before watching Adam play in his All-Star baseball game (way to go Adam!), so we all slept in nice and late. Daddy had to go to work, so the boys and I picked up Grandma and she took us to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch and game time. After pizza we were off to the library to check out some books. We haven't been there in a while, and the boys were having a blast choosing which titles to bring home. They were both big into non-fiction books this time around. The only disappointment was when Jake went to the computer to search for a book about Audie Murphy and they didn't have one at that location. Yes, you read that right...Daddy told them a story about Audie Murphy the other day and Jake wanted to learn more. He was definitely the only 7 year old in the World War II section. I love that kid! After lots of hugs and kisses, we dropped Grandma at home, came home and grilled some chicken for dinner, and shared our books with Daddy. Then we were off to Blockbuster to rent some movies and games. We ended the night watching The Spy Next Door and snacking on popcorn. Another late night = more sleeping in this morning! Now the boys are playing one of the games they rented for the Playstation...NICELY! I love summer!
