This was our first Christmas Eve without Great-Grandpa Voeller, and we really missed the tradition of spending a fun evening with him. This year on Christmas Eve, we first headed over to Mimi and O's house to enjoy some tamales for supper. The boys got a visit from Santa “O” (the boys are on to him!), a little play time in with their cousin, Hayden, and then it was time to open some gifts. The boys got some fun stuff and ate plenty of dessert! Next we headed over to Uncle Pat's house for a quick stop-over to see some more family, and of course...eat some more yummy dessert! It was getting late, though, so we headed home to read "The Night Before Christmas," and put out the cookies and milk for Santa. The boys were so excited for the Big Man to come this year!
Christmas morning, Brady couldn't contain his excitement, and woke the whole house up at 5:40am! From the top of the stairs, the boys could see that being good this year had really paid off. There were tons of presents under that tree! They hurried downstairs to look in their stockings, and then it was present time! Daddy and I loved to watch the expressions on the boys' faces as they opened each gift. Their joy filled our hearts with so much happiness. Mommy's guys gave her a beautiful new food processor, and Mommy even managed to surprise all 3 of her favorite boys with a PS3 this year. Daddy was the most excited about that one!
After we tried out some gifts and took a quick nap, it was on to Poppy and Ma's for the big Christmas celebration! We had 47 people there this year. Our family keeps growing every year, and it grows more special with each addition. The afternoon was spent playing football with cousins, eating tons of delicious Italian food, opening more presents, and eating more dessert. We stayed late into the evening, talking, playing, and laughing with family. It was an awesome day. When we got home, the boys told me that they had the best Christmas ever! I just love how they say that every year!!! We took a TON of pictures, and I’ve posted a bunch below. Merry Christmas everyone, and a very blessed New Year to each of you!
