Since we broke ground (literally) on the sandlot the boys and I have been to Home Depot about 607 times this past month. Every time we go they want to ride in the Tony Stewart racecar/shopping cart. Then they beg, plead, and cute it up for an ice cream treat out of the vending machines. I always...I mean sometimes give in and get one for them. They end up covered in sugary goo and I end up smelling like bags of topsoil and manure...niiiice.
Anywho, today after we dropped off Jakers at school, me and B went to get a few more things. Before we got there Brady started in with the beggary.
"Daddy, can we get a treat at Home Depot?"
"Not today buddy."
"But but why Daddy?"
"We have Superman popsicles at home bub."
-Whimpering and fake sobs-
"Brady why are you so sad?"
"I'm not sad I'm happy-crying."
"Why are you happy-crying?"
"Because...because I love you."
Ohhh..he's a good one. He and Jake have just recently picked that up from Mommy. Whenever they see a movie where someone is so happy that they cry, well she has told them that they are happy-crying. So now I guess they will use that as a weapon against me. That's a low down and rotten trick, but I have to respect the effort little dude. Nice try.
