Marshmallows
Yesterday the boys and I made a real treat...homemade marshmallows! The recipe is really easy (and very sticky)! They had some in a mug of hot chocolate this morning and they were delicious!! I can definitely see this being a recipe we do again, especially in the winter when we can enjoy hot chocolate and it isn't 110 degrees outside!

Okay, adorably sticky! I am also drooling over the mixer. I have wanted one of those for years, but can't justify buying one. Maybe if I bake more . . . You got that skill from your mom. Mmmm. . . Italian cookies.
Gosh, that brings back memories. I didn’t learn how to make marshmallows until my kids were half grown. It looked too intimidating but I found it really isn’t bad. When my kids were college age I would make home made marshmallows and homemade graham crackers for indoor smores. I added the fixings for Hot Coco. I would pack it all up in baskets and drive the 70 or so miles to Northwestern, and deliver it to them for study days in their dorms. I made way too much and after the crowds gathered to share, I don’t think much studying was accomplished. Sometimes I would drive away thinking I must out of my mind! To go that far to take them smores! I always wondered if the kids appreciated what I did. Now once in a while they will say, “remember when……” So they do remember! And they did appreciate it. You guys are making so many lovely memories for your boys. We all should have had parents like you!!!!!
That looks totally fun... Can you guys send us the recipe? Jodi's dying for it...
