Brady bears rings.

Today cousin Nicki got married to her studly man Chris. It was a big day for the B man too because he got to be the ring bearer. He was looking forward to this day for weeks. Jake got to do it a while back and now it was his turn to shine. I think Brady was born to wear a tux. Whatever that means for his future, right now he makes one killer ring bearer.

He wasn't hesitant at all today, just Mr. Confident. Due to some crazy traffic Mr. Confident had to wait an hour and change while we found our way to the church. Yikes. Once we got there he was ready to do his job, and that's just what he did. He walked at the right pace. Bowed to Jesus, and took his place at the end of the groomsmen. What a champ. If Brady does one thing well, it is follow directions. If you tell him to do something, he will block everything out and make sure he does exactly what you want. Being the bearer of rings in a big Catholic wedding was right up his alley.

After the ceremony, we headed to reception and got our party on. The boys could not have cared less about dinner, cared a little about cake, but what they really wanted was to dance. They had a need to release their wiggles in a big way. When it was finally time to dance they (and their equally dance crazy cousins) made their way to the dance floor like a pack of wild dogs. That was the high point of the night for me. Watching them boogie down with their cousins was too cool. Jake and Brady have been kind of addicted to listening to/singing "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers lately so that was their one big request. When it finally came on they broke out a few more special moves. Crazy little dudes.

So, yeah it was a great, great day. Nicki and Chris make a great couple. To say they are well matched is major understatement. Since I have known Nicki since she was 7 or so, it was a little weird to see her all grown up and gettin' hitched, but I am so glad she let Brady play a part in her day. It was a day we'll remember for a long time, and Brady just might remember it the rest of his life.
