Long Weekend Fun

Thank goodness for LONG weekends! We have really been enjoying some quality family time. Daddy bought Jake and Brady a new tent and they pitched it in the toy room and "camped out" in it Saturday afternoon. That night, Ma and Poppy took us out for some yummy dinner and frozen custard (with Uncle Jarrod, Aunt Julie, and Makayla too). Afterwards, Poppy and Ma came by the house to see the boys' new tent and to play for a bit. After showing them around their tent, Jake and Brady challenged Grandma to a game of "War" and then they convinced her to build some train tracks. The boys always have a great time when Poppy and Ma are around.

The boys decided not to sleep in the tent last night, but filled it with lots of blankets, stuffed animals, and all things cozy, and they were ready for tonight! As I type this, the whispers and giggles are fading, and they are drifting off to sleep under the stars (actually the ceiling fan in the toy room and the glow of the night light). I can't wait to hear of their camping adventure in the morning. Good night Sweet Boys!
