So the next step was to get him hooked up to an IV and start the antibiotics. He wasn't so sure about that huge needle, but the nurse was awesome and he barely shed one tear. Being my son he just had to watch her put it in his arm the whole time. We are some curious fellows. For being a good patient, the nurse gave him a pile of goodies. His favorite, the plane. Pretty awesome. I can't wait to try it out in the morning with him.
So, the big guy should be alright soon, but it looks like he will probably miss the rest of the school week and his game on Saturday. He's gonna be on some antibiotics for a while and just kicking back playing some Wii. Rough stuff. He'll be back in action soon though, don't you worry.
(By "you" I mean me. I am trying to convince myself that my baby boy isn't really that sick.)
His first ever x-ray. The pneumonia is the white arrowhead-shaped blob halfway up on his right (your left) side. He's not smiling because he feels good. He's smiling because Daddy let him say a "questionable" word to vent his feelings.
